It's the weekend, so I thought of sharing with you a dead simple idea on how to make money online. Or to be more precised, how I made money when I first started over a decade ago.

I realize that the easiest way to make money online is to promote an affiliate program that has been proven to convert. This way, you don't have to develop your own. And this can be easily found inside ClickBank because it shows the "conversion stats".
But the problem is, I do not have any targeted traffic. So I couldn't get started.
One day, I was reading a post in an internet marketing forum where I've stumbled upon a concept called, "solo ads".
At first, I don't quite understand it but once I understood, I knew I've found the "secret" to making money online in just days.
Basically, there are many marketers who sell solo ads in the internet marketing community. Which means, for a fee, they'll promote your offer to their mailing lists!
Frankly, I was overjoyed when I discovered that.
Because I could promote the affiliate program that I want to THEIR lists! This way, I can reach targeted leads INSTANTLY.
So assuming I purchase 500 clicks of a solo ad for $200 from the internet marketer, so long that I could make more than $200 from the affiliate promotion, I'm making money online!
And it did work. I was making money then. Simply by researching for an affiliate program that has been proven to convert and start sending traffic there with the solo ads purchased.
I didn't believe it was this easy to make money online. :)
Then one day, something happened - I lost money. I've ended up paying more money for the solo ads. The affiliate sales that I've gotten did not cover my advertising cost.
And it started to get worse because not all affiliate programs could do well everyday.
After learning this lesson, I have to improvise a different approach...
I stopped promoting the affiliate programs.
I started sending the solo ad traffic to my OWN webpage to build a mailing list.
Then... I will promote the affiliate program at the "thank you" page instead!
Yes, the sales conversion wasn't that good with this new method but I was actually making more money.
How did that happened?
Because when they subscribe, I'll follow up with them about the affiliate program I've promoted previously from the "thank you" page. From the follow up, there will be some sales - and these are all automated because I'm using an autoresponder that sends out sequence of emails on auto-pilot.
But do you want to know where the real money is?
It's the list that I've built and the automation behind it. Regardless of whether they did buy the original affiliate program promoted or not, they'll continue to get other product recommendations to buy in the follow up emails.
It's a simple idea but it's definitely a proven money-making strategy.
I would encourage you to give it a try. :)
